A graph of x can be modified using this formula:
ax + b
The variable a controls the vertical dilation (vertical stretch). For example, if a = 2 the graph will be twice as tall.
The variable b controls the vertical displacement of the graph. For example, if b = 5 the graph will be moved up by 5.
