The graph of sin(x) is very repetitive, but decievingly difficult. The terminology for a graph of sin(x) is slightly different as well.
A graph of sin(x) can be modified using this formula:
asin(cx + d) + b
The variable a controls the amplitude (vertical stretch). For example, if a = 0.5 the graph will be half as tall.
The variable b controls the vertical displacement of the graph. For example, if b = 2 the graph will be moved up by 2.
The variable c controls the frequency (horizontal stretch). For example, if c = 4 the graph will repeat 4 times as fast.
the variable d controls the phase (horizontal displacement). For example, if d = 3 the graph will move left by 3.
