The graph of x^2 is slightly more complicated than a graph of x, but is sltill fairly easy to understand.
A graph of x^2 can be modified using this formula:
a((x^2) + c) + b
The variable a controls the vertical dilation (vertical stretch). For example, if a = 3 the graph will be thrice as tall.
The variable b controls the vertical displacement of the graph. For example, if b = -2 the graph will be moved down by 2.
The variable c controls the horizontal displacement of the graph. For exaple, if c = 4 the graph will move left by 4.
